Viacom is home to some of the world's premier entertainment brands, connecting with audiences through compelling content across television, film, online and mobile platforms in over 160 countries.

Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) owns and operates over 90 pay and free-to-air channels across Europe, offering music, comedy, kids and general entertainment programming through its MTV, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, VIVA and BET brands. Most of these channels are bespoke productions for specific national markets, showcasing original content and events that reflect local social and cultural interests. The UK’s Channel 5 became part of the Viacom family in September 2014.

MTV’s European Music Awards are also hosted each year by a different European city. The show is broadcast live to over 500 million households across the globe and has recently visited Glasgow, Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Belfast. In 2015 the show will be hosted by Milan.

Viacom also owns Paramount Pictures, America's oldest film studio, which continues today as a major global producer and distributor of filmed entertainment. A number of recent Paramount productions were shot in Europe, including World War Z (UK, Malta), Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters (Germany) and The Dictator (Spain).
